Learn to Take Care of Trees through Fall, Winter

A Fall Tree Care Workshop will be held Oct. 14 at 9 am at Algoma City Hall, 416 Fremont St. The speaker will be Dan Traas, certified arborist, degreed forester and college instructor. Fall is a very important time of the year for trees. Learn what you can do to promote healthy trees, provide fall and winter maintenance and protect trees through winter. Even without leaves, trees are still functioning and this workshop will explain how to have your trees get a good start next spring.

This workshop is free and open to the public. Residents of other communities are welcome to attend. This program is offered by the City of Algoma Tree Management Committee and funded in part by an urban forestry grant from the Wisconsin DNR Forestry Program. For more information call 920.487.8136.
