Learn to Make Beads at Morning Mist Studio

Come learn how to make beautiful glass beads with Rachel Sims of Fuzzishü on July 23 & 24. Two sessions will be held in the morning, 9 am – 12 pm, and in the afternoon, 1:30 – 4:30 pm.

In this two-day workshop, students will learn the basics of glass bead making under the guidance of instructor Sims.

Students will learn how to light a torch, create a bead, gain confidence in working in front of the torch, dip mandrels, and clean finished beads. Everyone will take home a generous handful of beautiful beginner beads. No experience is necessary.

Sims studied jewelry and metalsmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design, and has always had an affinity for working in glass. After studying in Milan, Italy, she designed luxury watches for the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in Geneva, Switzerland. She returned to the US to pursue creating her own one-of-a-kind pieces.
