Letter to the Editor: Volunteering Makes Our World Better

I wanted to publicly thank Bret Bicoy for his two most recent columns in the Peninsula Pulse [Pulse of Philanthropy]. I could not agree more with his philosophy of civil discourse and working together even when we disagree politically. I especially liked his stating that volunteering brings people together and reduces personal disdain for one another.  

I believe that it is often too easy to look to for something negative to say about some topic or someone else’s belief. Volunteering is focused on being a force for positive change in this world and working together.  Let’s continue to volunteer as we make Door County and our world a better place to live.
