Mail Carriers Collecting Food Donations

On May 12 Campbell Soup Company will join the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to collect food donations to provide assistance to the millions of Americans who are struggling with hunger. The nation’s letter carriers will collect food donations left at mailboxes and deliver them to food banks and other hunger relief organizations. To participate, leave a bag of non-perishable food where your letter carrier normally delivers your mail on May 12.

Also, some post offices may have special collection boxes at their offices to drop off non-perishables. Two volunteers are also needed to follow the carriers and pick up the food. If interested in volunteering, contact the local post office.
