Max Garland Reads from New Collection

Write On, Door County welcomes back former Wisconsin poet laureate Max Garland for a special event Thursday, April 20, 6:30 pm, when he will read from his new collection, Into the Good World Again. 

The poems in the collection are ones of remembering – not only of the anguish and isolation of the global pandemic, during which most of them were written – but as a creative or restorative force.

Garland has been featured regularly on Wisconsin Public Radio, and his work has appeared in journals such as Poetry, New England Review, Gettysburg Review and many other publications. 

He will read at Write On, Door County’s Writing Center, 4210 Juddville Road in Juddville.
