MDCMC Celebrates Women’s Health Week with Lunch and Learn Programs

Ministry Door County Medical Center (MDCMC) will celebrate Women’s Health Week, May 12 – 18, with free lunch and learn programs. The theme for 2014 is “It’s Your Time.”

“Women often serve as caregivers for their families, putting the needs of spouses, partners, children and parents before their own, as a community we have the responsibility to support the important women we know and do everything we can to take steps to lead longer, healthier and happier lives,” says Ann Bretl, Registered Nurse & Nursing Supervisor of the Women’s and Children’s Health Center at MDCMC.

This celebration is a time when women are reminded to take small, manageable steps for a longer, healthier and happier life. Lunch and Learn programs are:

May 12 – Belly Dancing Demonstration by Andria Nikoupolis-Weliky.

May 13 – Essential Oils, Aromatherapy with Barbara Lemke & Terry Lundahl. Free samples of essential oils will be offered.

May 14 – A Taste of Mindfulness Stress Reduction with Barbara Wulf. Participants will learn how to use breath as a stress reduction tool and to become more aware of how the mind affects our bodies and our physical health.
