Midsummer’s Music Festival Presents Labor Day Concert Series

Midsummer’s Music Festival performs its Labor Day concert series with six performances from September 1 through Labor Day, September 6.

“We are celebrating our 20th anniversary season this year, and we wanted to end the summer with a really festive outpouring of music and talent,” said Jim Berkenstock, Artistic Director of Midsummer’s Music. “We are showcasing what we call ‘The Best of the Best.’”

“Historical Connections” will be performed at the Peninsula School of Art on September 1, the Ephraim Moravian Church on September 2, and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on September 4.

“Celebration” will be performed at the Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church on September 3 and at the Ephraim Moravian Church on September 5. All performances begin at 7:30 pm except for the September 5 program, which will be at 3 pm.

“Celebration” will also be performed on Labor Day, September 6, at Birch Creek in a gala benefit that will jointly support HELP of Door County, Inc., The Ridges Sanctuary, and Midsummer’s Music Festival. The benefit will begin at 3 and include a catered buffet by Alexander’s following a performance by Midsummer’s Music Festival. Tickets are $85 per person and proceeds equally benefit all three organizations. Advance reservations are required by August 31.
