Miller Art Museum Presents Violinist Marina Gittins

Marina Gittins presents a farewell concert to the Door County community on Friday, June 11, 7 pm, at the Miller Art Museum.

Gittens, who has been studying violin for 11 years with the likes of Seattle’s Ron Patterson and Appleton’s Prof. Wen-Lei Gu, will perform the first movement of Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole and the first movement of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.

Gittins’s own students, Lizzie Shearer and Karina Naze, will perform selections from Suzuki Violin Book 1. Also featured in the concert are harpist Tammy Naze and pianist David Beck.

Admission is free, though donations are welcome. Gittins’s CD will be available for $15.
