Ministry Home Care Receives Top Rating

Ministry Home Care, an Ascension At Home company, received a 5-star rating, the highest rating in quality patient care a home health agency can receive. The Quality of Patient Care Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) places Ministry Home Care in the top sixth percentile of all Medicare-certified home health agencies in the United States.

“We are thrilled to have achieved the Home Health Compare’s prestigious 5-star rating,” said Donna Moens, Director of Home Health for Ministry Home Care. “We know we are entering our patients’ lives under some of the most challenging circumstances. Our team goes above and beyond to treat each patient as if they were family, deliver quality care in a safe, comfortable setting and provide patients with the support they need to live as fully and independently as possible.”

CMS uses the ratings to compare the performance of Medicare-certified home health agencies. A five-star rating is the highest, while three stars is the national average. The rating indicates an agency’s ability to meet nine quality measures, which include improvements in ambulation, bed transferring, bathing, timely initiation of care, acute care hospitalization and more.

Ministry Home Care has been certified by Medicare for meeting certain federal health and safety requirements. CMS calculated the agency’s rating based on Medicare claims data from Oct. 2016 – Sept. 2017. For more information visit medicare.gov/homehealthcompare.
