Nasewaupee Candidate Forum March 7

The League of Women Voters of Door County is hosting a candidate forum Tuesday, March 7, 6:30-8 pm, for the six candidates on the April 4 ballot who are competing to fill three supervisor seats on the Nasewaupee Town Board.

Two of the seats are new additions – the town increased its board size from three to five supervisors starting this year – and the other contested race is for an existing supervisor seat.

Candidates for the Supervisor 1 seat are Mark Hilsabeck and Bill Krueger; for the Supervisor 2 seat, Mark Feuerstein and Don Sixel Jr.; and for the Supervisor 3 seat, Gene LaPlante and Tim Smith.

The in-person forum will take place at the Nasewaupee Town Hall, 3388 Cty PD (and Highway C). Afterward, the League of Women Voters of Door County will post a link for viewing the recorded forum on its Facebook Page and at lwvdoorcounty.org.

Candidate forums are one part of the League’s nonpartisan effort to inform voters about candidates and elections in an unbiased manner. When one or more parties have a contested primary election, and if it is requested, the League attempts to schedule a candidate forum prior to the primary-election date so that members of the public can hear and see all the legally registered candidates who may move on to appear on the general-election ballot.
