Obituary: Anita L. Matzke

July 13, 1953~January 2, 2022

Anita L. Matzke age 68 of Sturgeon Bay, died on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 13, 1953, in Green Bay to the late Henry and Doris (Sand) Borley. She was united in marriage to Denis A. Matzke on October 20, 1973, in Green Bay.

Anita graduated from Green Bay West East and continued her education taking some classes at NWTC. She worked for many years at Walmart finishing her career as a department manager.

Her favorites and hobbies included spending as much time with her grandchildren and family as she could and watching NCIS, HGTV and other crime shows.

Left to cherish Anita’s memory are her husband of 48 years Denis; children, Jason (partner Becki Kuik), Justin (partner Katina Harvey), Jeremy Matzke and Christine (Christopher) Kyle; and eleven grandchildren Owen, Lucas, Keli, Daysha, Joshua, Patricia, Bernie, Megan, Maggie, Mason and Piper. She is further survived by Betty (Randy) Vogtman, Dotty (Tom) Van Ermen, Ken (Vicki) Borley, Mike (Becky) Borley, Jim (Laurie) Borley and Wayne Borley; and special friend of 50 plus years, Lynn (Jerry) Bomski and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held for Anita at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Malcore Funeral Home-WEST. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The live stream service can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWGEuedd2Uk
