Obituary: Karen Lynn Harriger

April 12, 1952~June 29, 2022 

Karen Lynn Harriger, 70, of Sturgeon Bay, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born April 12, 1952 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Merton Fred and Lucille Grace (Goll) Ash. Karen worked as a housekeeper for several companies and retired from Bridgeport Waterfront Resort after 15 years of employment. On June 4, 2004, she married Richard Norman Harriger. The couple was married for eight years before he preceded her in death on July 27, 2012. Karen enjoyed gardening, going for car rides, attending music in the park, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Becky (Robert) Benson, Joshua Popour, and Jessica (Sonny) Wilson; grandchildren, Kesha (significant other, Jeremy Reinhart) Benson, Zachary Benson, and RJ Skippon; great-grandchildren, Hannah Benson, Sophie Benson, Olivia Reinhart, Zayne Skippon, and Jayden Reinhart; and siblings, Gary Ash, Linda (Blair) Ash, and Roy (Sharon) Ash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merton and Lucille Ash; husband, Richard Harriger; and brother, Keith Ash.

In honor of Karen’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
