Obituary: Tessa C. Erickson

Tessa C. Erickson, 17, died at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee after a year-long battle with cancer. Tessa was born in Sturgeon Bay to Linden Erickson and Debra Anderson and was welcomed by brothers Isaiah and Eli. Tessa was a beautiful girl with a sweet, sassy, loving spirit and was beloved by the northern Door County community. She was a student at Gibraltar High School, class of 2018, and loved volleyball, basketball and horseback riding. Tessa was a faithful friend to so many and will be most remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, spunk and unforgettable bright smile. She fought an incredibly tough battle this last year and never let the pain and illness diminish her spirit.

Tessa is survived by her parents Linden Erickson and Debra Anderson; her brothers Isaiah and Eli, grandparents Don and Judi Erickson, and Dan and Dawn Anderson; Aunts Deidre (Max) Lindahl, Andrea (Jim Adams) Erickson, Kirsten (Croyden Kemp) Erickson; many cousins and extended family members to whom she was very close. The family owes a huge debt of gratitude to family, friends, and the wonderful Door County community who all showed such generous love and support through this difficult year. Our sincerest gratitude also to the dedicated care of staff at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; the MACC Fund Clinic, Milwaukee; the St Vincent’s Pediatric Oncology Clinic in Green Bay; and Ministry Door County Medical Center, Sturgeon Bay.

A Memorial Service will be held on 5 pm Tuesday June 21, at the Door Community Auditorium 3926 Hwy. 42, Fish Creek. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be sent to the Tessa Erickson Benefit C/O Nicolet National Bank, P.O. Box 166, Sister Bay, WI 54234.
