Open Door Pride August Mixer

Open Door Pride and Stone Harbor Resort are co-hosting an August Fun Day Pride Mixer on Aug. 20, 2-5 pm, at the resort’s outdoor pool. 

The mixer features a Tea Dance. Tea dances were events organized on Sunday afternoons in the gay community, originating in New York in the 1950s-60s, when being served a drink in public was illegal. People within the LGBTQ community would get together on Sunday afternoon for a cocktail and socialize and dance in a safe location. 

The event is free and open to the public ages 21 and over. DJ AJ will play dance music and there will be a cash bar available.
