Open Door Pride Presents Visionary Award

Open Door Pride presented its first annual Visionary Award for significant contributions to the LGBTQ community to Sandy Brown. The award was designed and created by Popelka Trenchard Glass. In 1995, Brown started the Door County chapter of Parents, Friends and Families of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG).

As a member of many organizations, Brown has brought LGBTQ issues to the discussion and has been an advocate, an ally, and a friend to many in the community. Brown embodies the spirit of inclusion and contribution to the healthy life of the community, that Open Door Pride has named it The Sandy Brown Award.
