Celebrate National Pollinator Week by discovering the difference between bees and wasps. Take a meadow walk and learn about flowers that bees pollinate. Create science art, too. Suitable for all ages, especially kids. Meet at the Nature Center. Free. State park vehicle sticker required.

4-6pm. "Furs at Tennison Playground." Drop by Tennison Playground to visit with the naturalist and identify furs and skulls. In case of rain, this will take place inside the Nature Center. 8-9pm. "Campfire!" This family-friendly campfire features fun songs and stories, as well as toasting marshmallows. Meet at the Nature Center. Free programs, but a state park vehicle sticker required.

Start the new year by getting outdoors with a family friendly trek led by Friends of Peninsula State Park. Meet at Weborg Shelter. About 1-3 miles, trail condition dependent. Warm up with a cup of cocoa in Weborg Shelter afterwards. Dress for the weather, children are welcome with adult supervision but pets are not allowed. Free, but state park vehicle sticker required.
