Performers Needed for Fourth Annual Renaissance Faire

The positions of Rat Catcher and Royalty have already been filled, but the Door County Renaissance Development Group, Inc. is currently seeking local talent to participate in their 4th Annual Renaissance Fantasy Faire in a variety of other roles.

Were you born 700 – 800 years too late? Have you dreamed of being a Lord or Lady in a bygone era? The young and young at heart are encouraged to get involved in this festive faire that requires a myriad of entertainers who are interested in history and education.

Faire Director Sandy Stetler, says, “All the Faire’s a stage and we invite merry travelers from far and wide to come and share their talents. We will be gathering unique crafters, artists, musicians, dancers, jesters, jugglers, actors and storytellers. We also invite historical reenactors to display lifestyles, arts and sciences from the medieval period through the Renaissance in open, interactive encampments.”

The entertainment committee will be meeting shortly to conduct auditions and begin choosing entertainers for the 2013 season. Everyone interested in performing at the Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire should contact them as soon as possible for the audition schedule. A parent or legal guardian (who will also be a cast member) must accompany performers under the age of 16.

The 4th Annual Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire is scheduled for the weekends June 29 – 30 and July 6 – 7.
