Plein Air Painting Throughout Door County

Door County Outdoor Painters will be painting on location at Gills Rock Dock area on July 13, Ephraim South Shore Marina on July 20, and the Coast Guard Lighthouse in Sturgeon Bay on July 27. The public is welcome to watch the painters paint on location.

The group is comprised of seven accomplished local artists who paint plein air [outdoors on location] together every Wednesday throughout the year. Active members include watercolorists Bill Doyle and Barb Kenyon, pastel painter Sally Everhardes, acrylic painters Glenn Gerber and Randy Rasmussen, and oil painters Jim Leatham and Rob Williams.

The group has been plein air painting for eight years. Members work has been recognized and awarded by both the Hardy Gallery and the Miller Museum.
