Potters Wheel Gallery to Close in July

After 58 years of providing “art you can use,” Potters Wheel Gallery and Studio in Fish Creek will close July 7. Founder and resident artist, Abraham Cohn, passed away May 10 after a long illness. Abe was able, nevertheless, to produce some remarkable work the last year with his son Jonathan’s help. Much of that work and some older pieces are now available for purchase.

The Cohn family has just released for sale many of Abe and Ginka’s personal collection of pottery, paintings, and prints. Works by Schomer Lichtner, Joseph Friebert, as well as potters John Hansen, Tom Coleman, Joanne Kirkland, and many others are being offered at reduced prices until the gallery closes.

Jonathan and John Hansen will continue Abe’s tradition of pottery demonstrations and invite the community to visit, reminisce, and take home a handmade treasure. For more information call 920.868.3371.
