“Field working conditions morphed from dandy to undoable across most of Wisconsin last week. The stretch kicked off with daytime temperatures in the upper 50s and heavy rain that kept farmers off their fields. On Friday, a strong cold front rolled through with high winds, plunging temperatures and snow across the southern half of the state. Fall tillage was pegged at 80 percent complete by week’s end, up six percentage points from the previous week, but still 17 points higher than last year.” ~ Wisconsin State Farmer
