Agriculture News
On Sept. 4, Gov. Scott Walker proclaimed September as soybean month. “Last year the state of Wisconsin grew 78.8 million bushels of soybeans with a value of $795 million, contributing significant benefits to Wisconsin’s agricultural economy,” Walker stated in his proclamation. The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates Wisconsin farmers will harvest a record amount of soybeans this year. (wisfarmer.com)
