Record Number of OCC Shoeboxes

The Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Relay Center at First Baptist Church of Sturgeon Bay recently reported that a record number of shoeboxes were received during the annual collection event. The goal of collecting 1,700 shoebox gifts was surpassed with a total of 1,821 boxes. With this year’s total included, the local OCC Relay Center has collected more than 12,000 shoeboxes in the past eleven years. The shoeboxes will be distributed to children in need in more than 100 different countries around the world.
