Reminiscing about Threshing

Join the Jacksonport Historical Society on Oct. 22 at 7 pm at the Jacksonport Town Hall as Dennis Dietrich presents an evening dedicated to reminiscing about threshing. Dietrich will discuss this long-lost way of harvesting, working together and enjoying each other’s company during the threshing “lunches” to achieve a shared goal of knowing that another season’s store of grain is secure. The society encourages attendees to share memories of threshing season as well. This program is open to the public and a donation is appreciated. Refreshments will be served. The Jacksonport Town Hall is located on County V.
