Schneider Awarded at National Show

William A. Schneider, who displays at the Champeau Gallery in Sister Bay, recently won the Award of Merit sponsored by Pacific Source Health Plans at Emerald Art Center’s Emerald Spring Exhibition National Juried Show 2011 for his work “Indigo and Copper.” The exhibition was held from May 3 – 27 at the Emerald Art Center in Springfield, Oregon. The juror of awards was Judy Morris, AWS, NWS.

Interestingly, the painting was a demo that Schneider painted on his new DVD, Design Secrets of the Masters – The Key to a Successful Painting, released by Liliedahl Video Productions this year. According to the artist, “I used all of the principles discussed in the DVD: designing with a dominant value, designing with a dominant hue, and the Mucha placement structure. I’m glad the juror of awards thought they worked.”
