Sharing the Artistic Process at Door County Festival of the Arts

The 7th annual Door County Festival of the Arts (DCFA) will take place August 14 from 10 am – 5 pm in the Sister Bay Waterfront Park.

Each artist who participates in the annual festival shows off their talent not only with finished pieces of fine art, but by demonstrating their artistic process to the public at least two scheduled times during the day.

“By demonstrating our techniques, I work to open up the doors that have been opened for me,” said artist Tom Seagard. “I invite people in, to their level of expression and understanding, so they too can understand the artistic process.”

The DCFA will feature an Activities Tent, where children of all ages can unleash their creativity through a variety of mediums, along with a “Make Your Mark” project for artists of all ages and levels to share their talents.

A free drawing for pieces of artwork donated by participating DCFA artists will also be available.
