Losing a child to suicide is one of the most devastating things any parent could experience. Lisa Adelle Iverson knows this firsthand after the tragic passing of her son Conor. Inspired by her journey through the pain and grief, she created Solace Cards.
“This is my attempt to bring comfort, strength and hope to others suffering with this impossible grief, even if only for a moment,” Iverson said.
Iverson saw September – Suicide Awareness Month – as the perfect time to release her cards. Also available this fall under the Solace Cards label will be the Solace Journal, a complement to her card deck in the form of a comforting collection of writing prompts and beautifully designed pages created to hold the myriad thoughts and feelings of a grieving parent.
