Sons of the Never Wrong Takes Woodwalk Stage

Woodwalk Concert Series joyfully welcomes back the Sons of the Never Wrong (Sons) on Aug. 26 at 7 pm. Sons are as good as it gets when it comes to skewing the notion of three-part harmony within original, whimsical songs that spring from both a folk tradition and some other melodic planet you might never have visited. A trio made up of Sue Demel, Deborah Lader and Bruce Roper, these three kind of mixed-up adults of perfect parentage are just crazy enough to think life in the fast lane comes with a banjo. For 20 years, Sons has been wowing their fans with their music, humor, and outrageously fun live shows.

The Chicago Tribune calls their style “Literate Witty Folk Music” and Midwest Records says, “One of the best folk bands of our time out pushing the envelope once again with some of the most literate, provocative lyrics around. Easily the band is at their mind-blowing best as they enter their 23rd year together, this is contemporary folk that others could learn from.”

Small Forest will open the show. Woodwalk Gallery and Events barn is located at 6746 County G, south of Egg Harbor one mile off Hwy 42. Call to reserve general seating and/or a picnic table outside before the show. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Beer, soda and pie will be for sale. Tickets are $20 cash. Call 920.629.4877 or 920.495.2928 for reservations.
