Southern Door Seeking School Board Members

The Southern Door County School District is accepting applications for two school board vacancies, each for a three-year term. Board members Jamie Schmiling and Carrol Toneys have filed declaration of noncandidacy papers. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age or older, residents of the district for at least 28 consecutive days at the time of filing, and not disqualified from voting under Wisconsin law. Applications may be picked up in the district office or found on the district website at this link: Board of Education/School Board Elections. Applications are due in the district office by Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 by 5 pm. Please submit to Sue Ann Hubbard, Southern Door School District Office, 2073 CTH DK, Brussels, WI 54204. The election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. The successful candidates will take the Oath of Office and begin their three-year terms at the next Regular School Board Meeting, Monday, April 15.
