Stage Door to Present Staged Readings in November

The final performances of Third Avenue Playhouse’s production of The 39 Steps will be Oct. 18 – 20.

Adapted by Patrick Barlow and directed by James Valcq, The 39 Steps is a fast-paced whodunit with over 150 characters played by a cast of four: Amy Ensign, Ryan Schabach, Kay Allmand and Ryan Patrick Shaw.

Performances begin at 7:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with matinees at 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $22 general admission, $10 students (ages 12 – 24), and $5 for children 11-years-old and younger.

Auditions for the StageKids Christmas play, directed by Amy Ensign, are scheduled for Oct. 21 & 22 from 5 – 8 pm. Parts are available for kids and adults of all ages. For the auditions, everyone will read from the script.

Rehearsals will be held on selected weekdays after school and on weekends. The rehearsal schedule will be announced once the play is fully cast. Performances are set for Dec. 13 at 7 pm and Dec. 14 at 2 pm. For more information call 920.743.1760 or email [email protected].

Every Sunday afternoon in November, Stage Door Theatre Company will present staged readings directed by Robert Boles and James Valcq.

Readings begin at 2 pm, with a talk back following each reading. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Readings include: The Marriage of Bette and Boo by Christopher Durang (Nov. 3), Morning’s At Seven by Paul Osborn (Nov. 10), Duet for One by Tom Kempinski (Nov. 17), and The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett (Nov. 24).
