Student Identification Project Underway

The Jacksonport Historical Society is looking to identify students in a photo taken sometime between 1915 and 1917 in front of the Farview School, which was located in West Jacksonport,

The teacher, Mildred Bagnall, as well as some students have been identified, but the historical society with the help of Marcella Giesseman is working to identify more of the children. These children were probably born during 1900 to 1910. Some of the family names living in School District #2 (Farview School) during this time were: Bley, Herbst, Wagner, Jonas, Vertz, Kiehnau, Anschutz, Fischer, Ostrand, Luethge, Dietrich, Brungraber, Muehlbach, Schmidt, Butler, Nauman, Lautenbach, Martel, Leimbach and Roell.

This photo and student identification will be located at the Jacksonport Historical Society Archives and may help people interested in genealogical research.
