Sturgeon Bay, Sister Bay Receive WEDC Grants

Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay have both been awarded $50,000 matching grants from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) through its Vibrant Spaces grants program, which seeks to help communities develop and enhance public spaces.

Sturgeon Bay is using its funds – the grant program’s maximum amount – for public restrooms, water-filling stations and other amenities at the Door County Granary social-hub project on the city’s West Waterfront.

Sister Bay is using its grant money for improvements at Waterfront Park, including accessible seating and tables, night-sky–friendly lighting, and renovating and expanding a gazebo to include a food counter.
