Sustainability Fair Returns in April

Fans of renewable energy and more ‘sustainable’ lifestyles are invited to participate in the Door County Sustainability Fair on April 27. Area families will find interactive activities, local food, and knowledgeable vendors from throughout the region at the Fair. Rick Brooks and Paul Tukey will give the keynote presentations.

Brooks will speak at 10:30 am about Little Free Libraries for Small Towns, an organization that brings accessible, free book exchanges to places without public libraries.

Tukey will speak at 1:30 pm. Tukey is a journalist, author, filmmaker, TV host, activist and award-winning public speaker widely recognized as North America’s leading advocate for landscape sustainability and toxic pesticide reduction strategies.

David Lea, Sustain Door chairperson, said, “With the Fair, we offer folks from all walks of life a chance to network and explore the options for living in a more sustainable way.”

The fair takes place at Graham and Martin Parks in downtown Sturgeon Bay from 10 am – 4 pm. On April 26, pre-event presentations will be given at Crossroads at Big Creek at 7 pm.
