The Ridges’ Natural Christmas

The Ridges’ Natural Christmas event will be held Dec. 10 from 3 – 6 pm at the Marshall Cabin, located at 8288 Highway Q in Baileys Harbor. There is no charge for this family-friendly event.

The Ridges’ staff and volunteers are decorating for Christmas and want to share their joy in the season and this beautiful natural area with the community. Attendees are welcome to sit around a crackling fire to toast marshmallows, enjoy hot cocoa or cider and cookies, or take a trip up to the lantern room of the Baileys Harbor Rangelights to take in the view of luminaries lining the boardwalk. Live music will set the holiday mood.

Both kids and adults can make natural decorations for the tree and other simple Christmas crafts. Visitors can also make a wreath using fresh-cut greens for $10.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a short hike through the twilight forest, ending on the luminary-lined boardwalk.

The Ridges Sanctuary is a non-profit nature preserve located just north of Baileys Harbor. Trails are open to the public year round for a small fee (members may hike at no charge).
