Time to Nominate Educators for Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Awards

It’s time to nominate Wisconsin pre-K through 12th-grade teachers and principals for the 2020 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship Awards (for teachers) and Leadership Awards (for principals), which can be submitted online at kohleducation.org by the Oct. 8 deadline. To be eligible, teachers and principals must be nominated by a parent, student, fellow teacher, community member or school administrator. Awards are $6,000, with an additional $6,000 grant going to the school of each selected teacher and principal. 

The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship rewards teachers who have demonstrated superior ability to inspire a love of learning in their students, motivated others and provided meritorious service both inside and outside the classroom. A panel will select the recipients. Since the program began in 1990, the foundation has awarded 3,080 grants to teachers and principals statewide, plus 3,080 grants to their schools, for a total of $10.6 million.
