Recognized as the birthplace of Italian cooking, those who are signed up for the trip are already dreaming of sipping true Italian cappuccino, enjoying a rich gelato, sampling the fruits and wines of the region’s many vineyards, as well as tasting the simply prepared meals. Whether featuring grilled and roasted meats, seasonal vegetables like artichokes, mushrooms and cannellini beans, or pasta, the hero at any Italian meal, the food is sure to be mouth watering.
