Two Local Businesses Honored Nationally

Staats Country View Farms Maple Syrup and Peninsula Building Systems, both Door County businesses, recently received national recognition for the design and construction of Door County’s newest maple syrup processing facility.

The Staats family met with Peninsula Building Systems this past summer to finalize plans for their new maple syrup processing building.

Only 18 awards were presented for 1,200 Wick buildings built nationwide last year. PBS and Staats were honored with the Special Industry Building of the Year Award. Mike Stapleton and Dale Reiser of PBS accepted the award.
