UW-Oshkosh Offers Well Testing

Door County residents with private wells are encouraged to participate in a groundwater-study program that UW-Oshkosh has been conducting since 2019. The program seeks to provide education about the importance of testing well water and build a database of Door County groundwater-quality data.

The testing parameters included in the study are bacteria (total coliforms/E. coli [quantification]) and nitrate for $30 for the first 300 registrants. Participants also have the option of adding arsenic and cumulative tests (pH, hardness, alkalinity and iron) for an additional $25.

Register to participate by filling out the form at uwo.sh/doorco-wells-fall23 by Sept. 22, and find out more by contacting Carmen Ebert at [email protected] or 920.424.3148.
