Weed Warriors Pull Dame’s Rocket

Gibraltar’s Parks and Lands Department held its first Weed Warriors event June 13 to pull dame’s rocket at Fish Creek Park. The ambitious group and a 2-year-old pulled nine 45-gallon bags, thereby preventing a great number of the plants from going to seed. The participants also planted 25 tamarack saplings.

Fish Creek Park is valuable wetlands in the heart of Fish Creek, so the Weed Warriors group – open to all ages – will continue to work on preserving the park’s habitat. Learn more and join the group by calling 920.868.1714 or emailing [email protected].
