Wickman Hosts Dahl

The Wickman House will host local musician Katie Dahl in a monthly performance every month through November. Dahl will perform from 6 – 9 pm on the second Thursday of each month, from Aug. 14 through November 13. When weather permits, Dahl will perform outside. There is no additional cover charge for the performance.

Dahl is a Door County-based singer-songwriter who “combines old-fashioned populism, an abiding love of the land and wickedly smart love songs, all delivered in a rich and expressive alto” (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel). Known for the literate candor of her songs and the easy humor of her live performances, Dahl also has two studio albums and an original musical play, Victory Farm (American Folklore Theatre) to her credit. Wisconsin Public Radio calls Dahl “the real deal.” At Wickman House, Dahl will be joined by Rich Higdon on upright bass, spoons, and washboard.
