Women’s Fund Holds Cookies and Egg Nog Holiday Gathering

The Women’s Fund of Door County invites its Door County friends and neighbors, and anyone who wants to learn more about the Women’s Fund, to a celebratory Cookies and Egg Nog Holiday Gathering on Dec. 12, 4-6 pm. The event will take place at Birch Creek’s Juniper Hall, 3821 County E, Egg Harbor.

“The Women’s Fund continues to grow in its ability to improve the well-being of Door County’s women and girls,” explains B.J. Cassidy, board co-chair. “We’ve had a phenomenal year and look forward to celebrating with the donors and partners who’ve made our accomplishments possible.”

The Women’s Fund distributed more than $30,000 in grants in 2016 to local nonprofits for work and programs designed to strengthen the economic security and health and increase the educational opportunities available to women and girls.

Board members and grant recipients will present a brief program at the gathering. Juniper Hall will be decked out in holiday décor and refreshments will feature items provided by local, women-owned businesses: Colleen’s Heritage Bakery, Ellison Bay; Door County Coffee and Tea, Carlsville; and Island Café and Bread Company, Washington Island.
