Yellow CD Release Concert at Flying Pig

Harpists Tammy Naze and Cheryl Murphy will be performing at The Flying Pig in Algoma on Sunday, August 30 from 1 – 4 pm to celebrate the release of their latest CD, Yellow.

Naze and Murphy are known for their fusion of Celtic, Classic, and Christian styles. Calling themselves The Watercolor Harps, the group is a labor of love and friendship, and has been inspired by the sights and sounds of living near the shores of Lake Michigan and Green Bay.

Just as an artist uses different elements when creating a masterpiece, Watercolor Harps has painted a musical odyssey using combinations of various harps, colorful chords, Lake Michigan waves, the earthy sounds of a cello, birds chirping at dawn, and unique keyboard sounds.

The audience is invited to partake in the theme of the day – which will be yellow. The goal is to focus ones attire and mood on yellow, and the Flying Pig will do the same by coordinating drinks and food to the theme.
