50th Annual Maifest Schedule

Some go for the 10K. Some go for the kolaches. And some go for a combination of the two. (We’d recommend the run first, then the pastries, but we’re not your mom.)

Wherever you lie on the Maifest spectrum, we’ve got you covered with this year’s schedule of events. It all takes place at Lakeside Park on Highway 57 in Jacksonport unless otherwise specified.

SCHEDULE

Saturday, May 27

9 am: Juried art fair featuring 50-plus artists begins; concession stand opens; and Women’s Club stand opens, selling used books and baked goods

10:30 am: Maifest parade on Highway 57 through Jacksonport

Sue and Joe Jarosh took the men’s outhouse from St. Michael’s Church in Jacksonport when the parish added its new building, and later, they turned it into a Maifest parade float. According to Sue, Joe always got a kick out of watching parents try to explain the structure to their kids as he drove the float past. 2014 photo by Sue Jarosh.
