A Family Band

Performing “country gospel” music that was popular more than a century ago, Daniel Phillips and his daughter Pamela Parks will appear in concert at The Chapel in the Heritage Village at Big Creek on Aug. 17. The program begins at 2 pm. Seating is limited and early arrival is recommended.

For more than 25 years, Phillips and Parks have performed together. “I actually started performing this type of music when I was about 21 years old and committed myself to the Lord,” said Phillips. “The music just came to me. I’m self-taught and do not read music. My daughter was about 13 or 14 when we started singing and playing as a duo. We also perform with a band.”

Heritage Village at Big Creek, located at 2041 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, is open daily from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
