A Poet Returns

One of Door County’s beloved poets, Peg Bresnahan, returns to the county to see old friends and read from her newest book, In A Country None Of Us Called Home. Bresnahan will be at Woodwalk Gallery on May 18, 5:30 – 6:30 pm, with a reception to follow.

In A Country None Of Us Called Home is Bresnahan’s second collection of poetry. One reviewer said, “Bresnahan writes with compassion and affection, but there’s often something unsettling, maybe even too frightening, to be more than implication. Her country cannot be called home. Her discomfort, her edginess, is subtle, yet always there.”

Bresnahan moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina after living for many years in Door County and northeastern Wisconsin. She lives next to DuPont State Forest in Cedar Mountain with her husband, sculptor Dan Bresnahan (whose work is in the sculpture field at Woodwalk Gallery).

Woodwalk Gallery is located at 6746 County Road G, five miles south of Egg Harbor, just off Highway 42. For more information call 920.868.2912.
