Affordable Housing Program Grant Money Available

NeighborWorks Green Bay and North Shore Bank have announced that forgivable grant money is still available through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s Affordable Housing Program through Nov. 10 for qualifying northeast Wisconsin home buyers. The grant is forgiven over five years and can be combined with other programs.

The grant dollars – up to $6,000 per applicant – are available to those who meet the qualifications, including living in the counties of Brown, Door, Calumet, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan or Winnebago; having a household member who is elderly, disabled, a survivor of domestic abuse, challenged with addiction, or without a home; and having a household income at or below 60 percent of the area medium income.
