AFT and Door Shakespeare to Give Complimentary Student Tickets

Capitalizing on the popularity of their ongoing student ticket program, American Folklore Theatre will distribute a complimentary ticket to every elementary, middle and high school student in Door County. Additionally, students will be able to use their free ticket to attend Door Shakespeare this summer.

“Although Door Shakespeare and AFT have a long history of collaboration and sharing of resources, this partnership is particularly exciting because of the shows we are offering this summer,” stated Holly Feldman, Director of Development and Public Relations. “Our world premiere for 2014, Strings Attached, is actually based on William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors which will be featured at Door Shakespeare this summer.”

Strings Attached opens June 11 and plays Mondays and Fridays at 8 pm, and Wednesdays at 8:30 pm. The Comedy of Errors plays Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm and Saturdays at 5 pm, July 5 –Aug. 16.

Students will need to present their complimentary tickets at the theatre venues. For more information visit FolkloreTheatre.com or doorkshakespeare.com for information about the Door Shakespeare.
