Alchemy Fields Hosts Assemblage Classes

Alchemy Fields will host two assemblage workshops taught by artists from Assemblage Studio of De Pere, Wis.

On June 16 from 9 am – 4 pm, Tyler Lambert will teach “Greenhouse Assemblage.” Participants will start with a cigar box, add on a greenhouse and collage with garden imagery, papers, and moss. The participants will then choose a scene for the front with vintage images and people, and top it off with a paper doll queen watching over her seedlings. The workshop fee is $60 and includes the supplies.

On June 17 from 10 am – 3 pm, Teresa Ann Gifford, artist/owner of Assemblage Studio, will teach “Garden Story People.” Participants will work with a vintage hanger and add various objects to it. A cabinet card photo, toy garden tool, a cigar shadow box and other found objects will be used to make the body and hardware will be used for the legs. These pieces will be wired together into a hanging assemblage. The class fee is $65, including the supplies.
