Amish Quilt & Craft Show Returns to Mr. G’s Hall

The upcoming Amish Quilt and Craft Show will be held at Mr. G’s Hall on Highway 57, just south of Jacksonport, from 9 am to 5 pm, July 7-10.

Featured at this 19th annual show will be more than 100 Amish-made quilts in a variety of popular styles, patterns and colors. All quilts are for sale. All of the quilting is done by hand as is the Amish custom. Baby, full, queen and king sized quilts will be available. The quilts will be on display and turned on a regular basis by show employees. An explanation of each quilt is given as each is presented. Chairs will be set up in the gallery area for those wanting to view the quilts.

The following items will also be on sale: Amish Cashew Crunch, Amish noodles, peanut butter, apple butter, Yoder popcorn, fabric, puzzles, hand poured candles, soaps, wooden toys, bowls, doll clothes and puzzles.

Local artists will also demonstrate their work at the show, including Chris Steinhagen (handcrafted brooms), Jo Brinkley Chaudoir (jewelry) and Sandra Peterson (pen and ink on embossed watercolor paper).

The entry fee is $1. Children ages 8 and under are admitted free but must be attended by an adult at all times. There will be a Door prize drawing of $50 certificates to Jacksonport Cottage or the Amish Quilt and Craft Shows. Winners need not be present to win.
