Area Girl Scouts Come Together for Tea Party

On April 30, Gibraltar Girl Scout Troops hosted a tea party at Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor for the Door and Kewaunee County service area. The Alice in Wonderland-themed party was attended by 13 troops with a total of 80 Girl Scouts. It was an honor to have Miss Door County, Hope Copiskey and Miss Door County Outstanding Teen Gracen Spritka participating in the event. They taught the Girl Scouts a special dance and encouraged them to always follow their dreams. The scouts also had opportunities to participate in tea tasting, etiquette lessons, flower planting and a photo booth. As a service project the girls brought supplies to donate to the Door County Humane Society.

The Girl Scouts extend a thank you to the following people/businesses: Amy Gorham & Gordon Lodge, Miss Door County Scholarship Program, Jerry’s Flowers, Grasse’s Grille, Bargains Unlimited, and all of the parents, troop leaders and volunteers that make Girl Scouting possible.
