AROUND THE DOOR: Color Coming

In some places around Door County, like this one in Sevastopol off County Road P, autumn displays are near-to-peak, and particularly splendid against the backdrop of a slate-gray sky. This photo, taken Oct. 9, is a few days after the Wisconsin Fall Color Report indicated Door County was at about 45% of peak fall color. Estimated peak for Door County foliage, according to that report, was the third week in October. Many of us are fortunate we can daily behold the deepening fall color.
